The Rhythm of my paddle. I grew up on a sandy beach called Poka'i Bay. It's located on the west side of the island of O'ahu, in the state of Hawai'i. The scent of salt and plumeria, the endless stretch of blue water and the rhythmic beat of paddles – these are the indelible memories of my childhood growing up on the sun-drenched shores of Pokai Bay on the west side of Oʻahu.
