As the crisp, cold winter months shift toward spring, March usually brings a humble warmth. But this year, the transition hasn’t been quiet. We’ve felt the true, unbridled might of winter storms all around the East Coast and more recently, across the Pacific—torrential rains and heavy flooding that brought devastating destruction to our beloved Hawaiian islands of Oahu and Maui.

When the ‘Āina is under such weight, it can feel impossible to find your footing. But even in the wake of the storm, there is a deep, soul-level benefit to leaning in. Just as the rain saturates the earth to prepare it for new growth, we can use this time to saturate our own lives with presence and care.

Spring 2026  has finally arrived on the East Coast, even if barely; the sunshine is here. I can feel a profound 'vibe shift' resonating from deep within the ‘Āina. It’s as if the land itself is whispering an ancient wisdom passed down through the generations—a wisdom that now flows through each of us. This, sweet one, is the radiant Power of Kū—your inner strength, standing tall and grounded in Aloha.

E kamaʻilio kākou, let's have a conversation, or better yet, let's talk story about the Power of Kū.

This is so much more than a post.  This is really just me spending more time rooted in the ‘Āina, learning and syncing new rhythms, keeping my pu'uwai, my heart, open, and finding that sweet spot where my life finally fits into the world around me. I'm still learning, but I’m also ready to share this space with you. My flow isn't just mine—it’s a reflection of the ‘ike (knowledge) passed down by my kupuna (elders). The deep-rooted wisdom of my ‘ohana, and the insights of dear friends, therapists, and soulful yogis I've met along the way.

"Kū is the moment you stop chasing the reflection in the mirror and start feeling the power in your foundation."

~Lynette Haunani

In this wild, digital world where we’re always chasing the blue light of a screen, it’s so easy to lose our footing. But the most beautiful glow—the kind that actually radiates from within—doesn't come from a screen or filter. It comes from stepping barefoot on the ground, the ‘Āina, breathing with the changing seasons, and remembering to take time to feel the power of Mother Earth beneath your feet.

To "Stay Kū" is to stand firm, but it’s the pu'uwai, the heart, that does the heavy lifting. It’s about anchoring your spirit so you can show up fully for your life. There is a transformative power in connection—to our own inner truth and to the heartbeat of our connection to each other. When you experience this connection, you feel the true spirit of Aloha. You feel a strength that doesn't shout, a kindness that flows naturally, and a clarity that reminds us that we are exactly where we need to be.

We’re finally over that "no pain, no gain" burnout. Honestly, who has the energy for that? At Hawaiian Aura, we’re trading the grind for a Longevity-Focused way of living. Move with a soft, seasonal intention today so your inner light and outer strength stay vibrant for every single sunset yet to come.

Because at the end of the day, true strength isn't about how hard you push—it’s about how deeply you’re rooted.

The Soul of Strength: Standing Tall

Here at Hawaiian Aura, in our practice, strength is more than just muscle; it’s your Kū (your groundedness). Inspired by the ancestral wisdom shared by The Kū Project, we believe that to be Kū is to stand tall in your truth.

Whether you’re catching a wave, flowing on your mat, or navigating a busy day, staying Kū means you are anchored. It’s about that flow that honors exactly where your body is at this very moment. No judgment, just Aloha for the vessel that carries you.

Ritual: The Grounding Sequence

To honor and welcome this new life season, you can use this sequence to reconnect with yourself by connection with the 'aina:

  • Pōhaku Base (The Rock): Stand with feet wide, feeling your soles melt into the earth like heavy stones (pōhaku). Feel the ‘Āina pushing back, supporting your journey.

  • Rooted Reach: Inhale deep, reaching for the sun while keeping your heels heavy. Feel the length in your spine and the space in your heart.

  • Kū Ha or  Mana Ha (Grounding~Power Breathe): Place one hand on your heart and one on your belly. Take three slow breaths, sending Aloha to every cell in your body. Feel yourself growing taller, steadier, and more radiant.

Longevity isn't a destination; it’s how we show up for our 'ohana, our family, and ourselves every single day. By staying Kū, we carry the spirit of Aloha on & off the mat and into the world.
